MAKING ROOM RESERVATIONS

Once you have decided that you will be attending Icebreaker Muster III, it is time to make reservations with the hotel. As we mentioned, we will be using two hotels. Both are equal in quality and room sizes and both offer the same amenities.

DO NOT attempt to make the reservations online. You will pay more. It must be done by phone to get the discounted rate of 75.00 per night. The phone numbers are:

   Amelia Hotel at the Beach is 877-263-5428

   Hampton Inn is 904-321-1111

If you desire a smoking room and/or are bringing a pet, call the Hampton Inn first. Otherwise, call Amelia Hotel at the Beach. Once Amelia Hotel has filled callers will be directed to Hampton Inn.

WHEN RESERVING A ROOM AT EITHER PROPERTY, MENTION THAT YOU ARE WITH THE COAST GUARD ICEBREAKER MUSTER. SUPPLY THEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO SECURE THE RESERVATION AND GIVE THEM YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. THEY WILL THEN ASK IF YOU PREFER 1 KING BED OR 2 DOUBLES. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR A SPECIFIC ROOM (SUITE UPGRADE, BALCONY, JACUZZI TUB ETC) SINCE WE HAVE BLOCKED THE WHOLE HOTEL WE HAVE ALL THE ROOMS AND EVERYONE WILL BE PAYING THE SAME PRICE. THE COMMITTEE WILL DO A LUCK OF THE DRAW FOR WHO GETS WHICH ROOMS. THIS WAY NO ONE CAN ACCUSE US OF PLAYING FAVORITES.

At the Amelia Hotel, half the rooms face the ocean and half face the parking lot. Remember, you're only in your room to sleep.
